The Board
The Board is composed of volunteers who understand the importance of honoring our fallen heroes. They are all active or retired members of the DPS Honor Guard where they have dedicated countless hours to ensure our heroes are honored and never forgotten.
WILLIAM B. WEST, Executive Director
Starting his career with DPS in 2004, William has served with both Parole & Probation and Highway Patrol. He remains the current Deputy Commander of the DPS Honor Guard.
Scott Stuenkel, President
Scott started his career with the Highway Patrol in 2000 and is currently the Chief of the DPS Training Division. He remains the current Commander of the DPS Honor Guard.
DOUG MCLARTY, Vice president
Doug began his career with the Division of Parole and Probation in 2019 and remains an active member of the DPS Honor Guard. He is currently assigned to the DPS Training Division as the Las Vegas Sworn Recruiter.
Ashlee Wellmen, secretary
Ashlee started as a Nevada State Trooper in 2011 and remains an active member of the DPS Honor Guard. She is currently assigned to the DPS Training Division as a Corporal.
Travis Smaka, Treasurer
Travis has served with the Nevada Highway Patrol since 2015 and remains an active member of the DPS Honor Guard as a Sergeant in Southern Command.
